Harpist - Michelle Dalton

Nothing quite says elegance at a wedding like a harp. It’s so special even Prince William & Princess Katherine had the Royal Harpist play as the guests returned from their royal wedding.

Michelle’s love of the harp started from a very early age while watching her grandmother play. The reverberating bass notes, the glimmering high notes, her fingers quickly moving over the strings.  At age 7 Michelle started having lessons, and the two performed together in church, at events and even on television.

Her real joy came from orchestral work and the beautiful harp interludes and solos in opera.  Michelle performed as principal harpist for the Anchorage Symphony Orchestra, the Anchorage Community Chorus, the Anchorage Ballet and the Anchorage Opera and was featured in Benjamin Britten’s A Ceremony of Carols, Debussy’s Danses Sacred and Profane, and the annual Nutcracker performance at Christmas.

“Michelle is not only a beautiful harpist, she is an entertainer!”

Since moving to England, Michelle brings beautiful, elegant and eclectic harp music to corporate events, weddings and celebrations of life.  Her enthusiasm for delivering the musical experience each bride/groom/event organiser desires makes her in high demand around Birmingham and the West Midlands.

You have made our wedding even more perfect than we could have imagined, and we had so many compliments on how beautiful it was. Thank you!
