Rang-a-Tang is a rare animal indeed!
The UK's favourite party band, we get even the most reluctant revellers up on the dance floor shaking their tail feathers. Playing an exhilarating mix of non-stop hits from the 60's right through to the noughties, all in our inimitable funky salsa style, we're as much fun to watch as we are to listen to. Probably the only band in the world able to merge Blur's rousing "Song 2" seamlessly into Andy Williams's groovy "I love you baby", a Rang-a-Tang performance is always a thrill-a-minute roller-coaster ride, which leaves audiences screaming for more.
With 4 people playing a grand total of 16 instruments, some really nifty dance moves and literally boundless energy, we really are the monkey business.
THE BIG WHITE CHIEF (trumpet, trombone, timbales, keyboards, harmonica, lead vocals, drums, kazoo)
Watch him switch effortlessly between trumpet, trombone, harmonica and lead vocals. Be astounded at his drumming, percussion and keyboard playing. Get swept along with his infectious enthusiasm. Laugh at his on-stage antics. Marvel at his lung capacity. Be amazed at his energy. Is it Superman? No, it's Mike "Magical Medicine Man" Snow, our mega-charismatic frontman.
DAZ "TONY THE TIGER" NODEN (Drums, timbales, vocals)
Often imitated but never replicated, Daz's unique drumming style never misses a beat - it'll keep you on the dance floor way past your bedtime! The stirring backbeat and driving force of the band, Daz is also an ace vocalist.Venturing where other drummers fear to tread, Daz regularly comes out from behind the cover of his kit to transform into a truly entertaining lead singer. Also, make sure you don't miss Daz and Mike's incredible drumsticks routine. We promise you, you've never seen anything like it.
RICHIE "PARROT" HYNES (keyboards, trumpet, accordion, guitar, vocals, kazoo)
Another enviably talented multi-instrumentalist, Richie's keyboarding skills keep the band storming along. But this is Rang-a-Tang so you wouldn't expect us to have a plain old keyboard player would you? Oh no, Richie also plays trumpet - often at the same time. Keeps you entranced with his accordion. Impresses you with his trumpet. Surprises you with his guitar. Astonishes you with his vocals and, of course, amuses you with his kazoo.
WILL DA BEEST (guitar)
Watch Will and you'll have a new guitar hero to worship. An incredibly talented player, he's also a brilliant performer. Just watch him take a solo while jumping up and down and spinning round in circles! Oh, and one more thing, don't miss Mike playing his guitar with his drumsticks!
