Mother Popcorn - Covers Band

Mother Popcorn are a three piece band made up of experienced, pro musicians playing rock, pop and funk covers from the 60s to the present day. The focus of the band is to bring to their audience a wide range of quality, well known songs, whilst avoiding the cliche standard numbers that many other bands cover.
Although only a three piece, Mother Popcorn deliver a powerful, tight and high energy sound which is rarely matched by other bigger bands! The line up is Loz - Lead vocals & guitar, DC - Bass & Vocals, Mark E - Drums.

The songs: A combination of modern and retro. Mother Popcorn's set is always changing to incorporate the best of modern music as it emerges. A typical set would include covers from contemporary bands such as The Strokes, Kings of Leon, Stereophonics, The Kooks, Jet, The Fratellis, Oasis, Snow Patrol, Radiohead, Chili Peppers, Green Day, The Hives, White Stripes etc.

Many years of experience have taught the group that audiences of any age also have a huge appreciation of great songs from the 60s onwards and the band agree! Mother Popcorn therefore include well known but less covered versions of bands like The Beatles, Kinks, Faces, Rolling Stones, Aerosmith, Wild Cherry, Cameo, The Clash etc.
