Freddie Starr Tribute - Simon King

Simon King, a former Red Coat & Compere, joined the professional entertainment circuit in 1997, donning the famous Red Teddy Suit of Freddie Starr, and currently tours as the only Freddie Starr Tribute Act in the UK. His act carries the full endorsement of 'The' Freddie Starr, who, as recently as December 2001 shared the same stage as they performed together, much to the delight of the Derby-shire audience who witnessed this incredible event. Few other tribute entertainers can boast such an endorsement, let alone the privilege of performing with their idols.

Simon's show is  fully self contained cabaret act, the humour can be tailored to suit the audience. His act is welcomed by both young and old, and it is to his credit that younger generations who are not aware of the real Freddie Starr still take great pleasure from his show. Simon blends his own material with that of his idol, showing
Simon's creativity. A talented artiste with an outstanding voice, he readily mixes his excellent comedy material with music of various artists of Freddie Starr's era. His
renditions of Elvis Presley's songs is as good as the real thing, always bringing rapturous applause from his audiences. Simon has delivered his show throughout the UK
and Europe in some fantastic prestigious venues and attracts a full house, making his show an outstanding success and leaves his audiences awaiting his return!

Over the years he has had the pleasure of working with & supporting many a celebrity including Jimmy James, Union Gap, The Dreamers, Ivy League, Black Abbots, Dave Clark, Five, Brian Poole, Bob Monkhouse, Brian Conniley, Roy Walker, Bobby Davro, Bernard Manning, Roger De Courcey and many more.

He can be booked for a whole host of different types of venues including Hotels, golf clubs, restaurants, cabaret venues, corporate events & even private celebrations. He has performed as a compere, guest speaker as well as his cabaret spot.
