The Bee Gees are now amongst the top 5 most successful bands in music history. Mark Barrie performs a unique, all-action, non-stop tribute to Barry Gibb and the music of the Bee Gees, capturing both the distinctive vocal sound and instantly identifiable look of Barry himself. He is the premier solo Bee Gees tribute act on the circuit today. Having performed as Barry Gibb professionally since 1997, Mark has appeared on t.v. many times, including reaching the Grand Finals of Granada T.V.'s 'Stars In Their Eyes' in the year 2000 (see video below). He has also appeared on 'Watchdog', 'Lorraine Kelly's 'L.K. Today', 'This Morning' and other prime time shows. Mark even performed at the London Palladium for the world premiere of the Bee Gees West End hit show 'Saturday Night Fever', and has worked along side 70's legends Candi Staton, The Rubettes, Bucks Fizz, The Real Thing, Boney M and 80's stars Chesney Hawkes, Alexander O'Neal, Kenny Thomas, T'Pau, and Kim Wilde amongst many others.
In addition he has undertaken several theatre and club tours, and given shows in many different countries as Bee Gees tribute. In the past 12 months Mark has appeared live for major holiday companies, including Thompson, Warner, Pontins, Butlins and Haven. Other clients include Village hotels, Hilton & DeVere hotels, Grosvenor & G Casinos, restaurants, golf, country & football clubs, wedding parties, etc. From the 1968 smash 'Words', through the multi- million selling iconic songs from 'Saturday Night Fever', to the most recent chart-toppers 'You Win Again' and 'Alone, they're all here!!
The show itself is fully self-contained and comes complete with 4k top of the range P.A., lighting/F.X. to suit, and dedicated sound/lighting technician. Mark began performing as Barry Gibb in 1997, and went on to reach the Grand Finals of 'Stars In Their Eyes' in the year 2000, appearing on t.v. shows many times since then, and giving shows in many countries around the world. Having firmly establishing himself as the U.K.'s leading Barry Gibb tribute show, Mark set about adding another music legend, famous for his falsetto prowess, to his repertoire - Frankie Valli. Bursting onto the scene with the Four Seasons in the early 1960s, 'Sherry', 'Big Girls Don't Cry' and many others became instant classics. He achieved worldwide No. 1 status both solo and with the Four Seasons with 'Grease' (written by Barry Gibb incidentally!) and 'December '63 (Oh! What A Night), respectively. Mark launched this tribute in 2003 and now is THE No.1 Frankie Valli tribute show in the U.K., a very popular show with both young and old. Recently Mark has created a double-header show, entitled 'A Night With The Stars' featuring performances as both Barry Gibb & Frankie Valli in one spectacular nights entertainment.
