“Aaayee Flamenco!” show takes you on a journey from our singer’s first authentic flamenco “aaayee” through to modern hip-swinging Gypsy-King-style Rumbas! With colourful flamenco dancers, as seen at the Royal Opera House; fantastic live music written and composed in Andalucia Spain; and thrilling audience participation! Samantha Luisa and Fernando met in 2005 during rehearsals for a fusion band UK tour, and have performed together ever since. Their credits together include: Sky Television “Tune it” Persian music programme for Sky TV, the BBC documentary entitled Manet: the Man who invented Modern Art. They opened the Opera Carmen at Leeds Castle which proceeded with a tour of the UK’s finest opera houses and theatres, working with Kisinev Symphonic orchestra from Moldova. Samantha choreographed the show which also opened in Kisinev Royal Opera House, Moldova. They have a regular show at the Peña Flamenco Club in London each year, and have promoted many Spanish restaurants with their dance and song such as La Tasca, La Rueda, Costa Dorada, and Del Aziz. Fernando was born in the heart of flamenco territory - the district of Triana Sevilla, Spain. He began singing cante flamenco as a child, inspired by his father who played classical and flamenco guitar, and his uncle who is a famous Andalucian composer. Fernando started singing naturally as a child, and professionally from the age of 16 in peña flamenco clubs and Andalucian concerts in Spain. He performs regularly at the Feria de Sevilla, and Spanish peña clubs.Fernando came to England collaborating with flamenco companies for shows including the reception of tomatito and Estrella Morente at the Barbican. He has since become a firm favourite in London’s flamenco scene, playing and singing at juergas, fiestas, concerts, and theatre. Samantha Luisa graduated from La Fundacion Cristina Heeren in Sevilla, Spain, with Advanced and Specialist diplomas in Arte Flamenco with distinction. By the age of eleven she was dancing in London’s West End. A scholar of RAD, Dancer’s Trust, Equity, and London Contemporary Dance School, she also graduated with distinction MA Dance Studies (Laban/City Uni), and Post Grad Cert Ed, Greenwich Uni.Sam’s professional dance career has taken her around Europe to venues such as Teatro Sol and La Fundacion Sevilla Spain; Solverde Portugal, Vinci Theatre France, Dioyenis Palace Greece, Linz Design Centre Austria, and Royal Opera House Moldova. UK stage appearances include Scottish National Galleries, Britains National Opera Houses, London’s Dominion Theatre, Royal Albert Hall, Royal Opera House, The Barbican, and Sadler’s Wells. She has performed choreographies in Spain by Milagros Menjibar in Seville, Rafael Campallo, Javier Baron, in Portugal with Suite Español from Madrid, and in UK at Sadlers Wells with Eva La Yerbabuena, and Royal Opera House with Saulo Garrido.
